Vapour Blasting Yorkshire

VMC provides specialist vapour blasting for customers across Yorkshire — Leeds, Sheffield, York, Hull, Doncaster, Harrogate and everywhere in between. Our workshop is in Lincoln, roughly 60–90 miles south of most Yorkshire locations, making courier shipping a practical and popular option. We handle Yorkshire customers' parts regularly, and the process is as straightforward as packing a box and dropping it with a courier.

Getting Your Parts to Us From Yorkshire

Most Yorkshire customers ship their parts to our workshop at Unit 10, Lincoln Enterprise Park, LN5 9FP. Standard couriers handle the route easily — engine cases and most motorcycle components pack securely and travel without issue. We return them once complete, typically within 1–4 days of receipt.

If you'd prefer to bring parts in person — and some Yorkshire customers do make the trip, particularly for larger batches — you're welcome to visit by appointment. Call or WhatsApp Charlie on 07366 325 681 to arrange.

Yorkshire's Classic Vehicle Scene

Yorkshire has a rich engineering and manufacturing heritage, and that's reflected in its active classic vehicle community. From pre-war motorcycles and vintage racing cars to classic British sports cars and Continental machinery, the county has a thriving restoration scene. VMC regularly works with Yorkshire customers on:

  • Engine cases and crankcases — aluminium, magnesium, cast iron
  • Carburettors and throttle bodies, including delicate internal passages
  • Cylinder heads and barrel assemblies
  • Gearbox and differential housings
  • Brake calipers, hubs and suspension components
  • Motorcycle engine covers, casings and side panels
  • Classic car restoration hardware — brackets, clips, panels

We handle parts up to 1,200mm. If you have something large or unusual, send a photo and we'll confirm whether it's within scope.

Why Vapour Blasting?

Vapour blasting — also known as wet blasting — uses a slurry of water and fine abrasive media propelled by compressed air. The water cushions the impact of the media, making it fundamentally different from dry grit or shot blasting. It's safe for aluminium, magnesium, bronze, brass, titanium and copper — the metals that make up most classic car and motorcycle engine components.

The process strips away oil contamination, corrosion, old paint and casting marks without altering tolerances or leaving abrasive embedded in the surface. The result is a consistent satin finish — clean and factory-fresh. Read more about the process here.

Pricing and Turnaround

Turnaround is typically 1–4 days from receipt of parts. Pricing runs from £5 for small items to £400 for large, complex assemblies — charged by time taken, not flat rate. We also offer paint stripping prep before blasting and ACF-50 anti-corrosion treatment post-blast. Full pricing details here.
