Why Marine Parts Need Specialist Cleaning

Saltwater is corrosive. It gets into every crevice, under every coating, and behind every fitting. Wire brushing just smears it around. Chemical stripping can attack aluminium. Vapour blasting (also called aqua blasting or wet blasting) removes salt deposits, oxidation, and marine growth without damaging the base metal.

ACF-50 Anti-Corrosion Treatment

After blasting, we can apply ACF-50 anti-corrosion treatment to protect parts before they go back in. Particularly useful for engine components and electrical connections in the bilge. Ask about this when you get in touch — it adds a small amount to the cost and is worth doing on anything going back into a marine environment.

We're in Lincolnshire, not on the coast — but we get marine work posted in from all over the east coast and beyond. Wrap parts well (propellers especially), get a quote from us first, then ship. We'll turn them around and send them straight back.

Small fittings and hardware from £5. Propellers and larger components £50–200+. Marine engine work quoted individually. ACF-50 treatment charged separately depending on part size.
