Restoration Workshops

If you're a professional restoration workshop sending parts out regularly, this page is for you — not hobbyists doing a one-off job.

How We Work with Trade Customers

We deal with a number of restoration garages who send us work on a regular basis. The arrangement is straightforward: you send the parts, we blast them, you get them back clean and ready for rebuild. No fuss, no wasted time.

  • Trade rates for regular senders — the more you send, the better the price
  • Turnaround typically 1–4 working days — we know you've got a car on the ramp
  • Local collection and delivery available in Lincolnshire and surrounding areas
  • Consistent finish every time — your customers will notice the quality
  • We'll flag anything that looks cracked or damaged before we blast it

Parts We Handle for Restoration

Classic cars and motorcycles cover a huge range of ages, makes, and materials. Vapour blasting (also called aqua blasting or wet blasting) works well across all of them — it's gentle enough for soft alloy castings, effective on steel, and produces a finish that's far better than sandblasting for anything precision or show-quality.

  • Engine cases and crankcase halves (motorcycle and car)
  • Carburettors — bodies, float bowls, top caps
  • Cylinder heads and rocker covers
  • Gearbox casings and bellhousings
  • Brake calipers, master cylinders, and wheel cylinders
  • Suspension components — uprights, wishbones, hubs
  • Trim pieces and brightwork (ask us first — some items need careful handling)
  • Weber/SU/Dellorto carburettors and inlet manifolds

Why Vapour Blasting vs Sandblasting for Restoration Work

Sandblasting is aggressive — it removes material, leaves a rough surface, and can embed media in soft alloys. Vapour blasting uses water and fine media together, which gives a much more controlled result: a smooth, clean, satin finish that looks right on a concours-quality build.

For anything aluminium — engine cases, gearboxes, carburettors — vapor blasting is the correct process. Sandblasting those parts is a false economy.

Pricing for Trade Customers

Individual parts from £5. Larger components £50–200+. Full engine strip-down batches quoted by the job. If you're sending regular volume, talk to us about a trade account.
